Coins are the thank-you, not the reason.
Tranna is a road map built by the people who ride the roads. Coins exist so that contributing gives something back in the meantime — they are not what the product is for, and if they were, we would be building a different and much worse product. Here is the whole mechanism, with the actual numbers.
What a coin is worth
10coins=₹1
How many coins a kilometre earns is shown in the app before each ride, and a steadier ride earns more.

How the rest of it works
- Safety score
- A per-ride score out of 100, from how steadily we rode and how well we held to the limit. It affects coins. It is never shared with anyone.
- Streaks
- Ride on consecutive days and the streak grows. Break it and it resets. Nothing is taken away.
- Tiers
- Distance moves us up the ladder from Gully to Expressway. A higher tier earns coins faster.
- Mystery boxes
- A coin bonus that becomes available after a distance threshold. The amount is revealed on opening.
What we are not telling you, and why
There is no per-kilometre rate printed above, and that is deliberate. The rate depends on your tier and on the mechanic running that week, so any single figure here would be wrong for most rides. The app shows you yours before you set off. We would rather leave a gap than fill it with a number you could hold us to and lose.
There is no leaderboard and there will not be one. Ranking us against each other would turn riding into a race, which is the opposite of what the map needs.
